2009!

My new goal for 2010 is to blog! I swear I will keep it up as long as I can, which could very possibly be this entry LOL. SO in light of that I will do my best to post pictures and update you on our new adventures in life.

This past year was a roller coaster ride of events. Moses was laid off from his job in January, which we knew would happen and hoped for the best in April when construction would turn around. Alas April came and went with no jobs through the union. He has had a few jobs throughout the year but hasn’t had much luck as we just got his work permit in April of last year. I continue to be hopeful in that the right job will come along and bless us with good pay and good benefits.....crosses fingers....He loves to play rugby and volleyball like his life depends on it. He got his first taste of his own medicine when someone kicked his face on the rugby field this past season thankfully he had insurance at the time and got I think like 10 stitches on his eye. Needless to say he doesn’t play in games anymore lol.

This year for me has been quite an interesting one. Besides growing like 5 times my size with pregnancy, not much has changed with the exception of a new apartment, no car, more laundry and more chocolate... OH and a sewing machine YAY! (I’m not too great at it yet but watch out uncle john here I come)...I also feel like I’ve made a lot of new friends this year which I LOVE!

Tristan Turned 3! WOWIE! whatta big boy I have on my hands here, I feel like he was just turning 2 and now he’s already 3. He is into super heroes especially Spiderman! He eats drinks and breaths that spidey. He loves dressing up in all costumes he has around 10 different ones that he is always playing in. For his birthday this year we did a family party at the pumpkin patch which was so much fun! He got his face painted like Spiderman which as I’m sure you guessed made him the happiest boy of all. This summer was a blast we had all kinds of fun we went to the aquarium, parks, Jetty Island and hung out at grandmas. We had crazy weather this year we reached 105* this summer. Never thought that I would ever see that here in Everett but grandma and grandpa saved us from the heat with their new AC unit!!! yay!

Summer also brought us a sweet little baby! Mason Siosifa Loukie was born on July 23. He is truly our miracle baby as he was born with about 40% of his blood due to a fetomaternal hemorrhage. He was with us for about an hour after birth then rushed down to the NICU where he spent the next 4 days. I wasn’t able to see him till the next day and when I did get to see him he was covered in tubes and wires that were helping him in every way possible (breathing eating fluids heart rates) it was really a site. He received a transfusion the night after he was born and everything was looking brighter for him he was able to start to eat on his own his lungs were clearing out and his color was coming back. I don’t think I’ve ever been so thankful for blessings. Mason is such a sweet and happy baby! He is always smiling and very content with just sitting. He loves to watch his big brother running around like a mad man I’m surprised that he hasn’t picked up and started to run along side of him(thank gooooodnessss).

I hope that this New Year will bring everyone joy and new adventures, let’s hope that I actually keep blogging!
